Sejak awal debut, media Taiwan kerap mempertanyakan orientasi seks Aaron. Tahun 2008, media setempat pernah memergoki Aaron terlihat intim dengan seorang pria yang dikenal sebagai kru variety show.

Sabtu (31/12) silam, Aaron ke-gap berada di sebuah klab gay di Shanghai, China. Fahrenheit berada di Shanghai untuk perform malam tahun baru. Setelah countdown selesai, Aaron berpisah dengan personel Fahrenheit yang tersisa; Jiro Wang dan Calvin Chen.

Netizen yang melihat Aaron di klab gay ini menulis di status microblognya. “Para perempuan, satu lagi impian kalian telah pupus. Aaron sedang berada di sebuah bar gay terkenal.”

Muncul isu bahwa Jiro dan Calvin mengucilkan Aaron karena orientasi seksualnya. Soalnya, banyak masyarakat yang memergoki Jiro dan Calvin masuk klab lain usai acara tahun baru selesai.

HIM International, manajemen yang menaungi Fahrenheit menjelaskan bahwa Aaron ke klab gay karena pemilik klab adalah teman Aaron.

“Teman Aaron di Shanghai yang membawanya ke sana,” bilang representatif HIM seperti ditulisXin MSN, Kamis (5/1).

HIM juga membantah kabar Aaron dikucilkan Jiro dan Calvin. “Aaron sudah punya rencana dengan temannya. Jadi dia tidak pergi bersama Jiro dan Calvin,” tukasnya.

Peter Ho Tampil dalam Drama Baru Aaron Yan

Aktor dan penyanyi Taiwan kelahiran Amerika Peter Ho yang beken di layar kaca dalam drama Romance in The White House ini dikabarkan akan menjadi bintang tamu dalam sebuah drama baru yang dibintangi salah satu anggota boyband Fahrenheit, Aaron Yan dan aktris Serena Fang.

Kabarnya Peter bersedia menjadi bintang tamu drama baru yang bertajuk Death Goddess itu lantaran memang ingin bekerja sama dengan sutradara Zero Zhou yang membesut drama tersebut. Keinginan tersebut bermula pada perkenalan Peter dengan Zero empat tahun lalu ketika aktor tersebut mengunjungi sahabatnya Kris Shen yang sedang membintangi film garapan Zero, Spider Lilies.

Mereka langsung tertarik bekerja sama. namun belum ada kesempatan hingga kini. Nah, Peter tanpa banyak pikir langsung menerima sebuah peran bintang tamu drama tersebut ketika ditawari. Tidak hanya keinginannya tercapai, namun juga Peter juga ingin mendukung para bintang junior-nya, Kris Shen dan Andy Chen dari band AK yang juga berpartisipasi dalam Death Goddess. Ia akan tampil dalam dua episode.

Dalam jumpa pers untuk drama itu baru-baru ini, ini pertama kalinya Peter bertemu Aaron Yan. Peter memuji Aaron yang dinilainya baik dan sopan. Aaron langsung merespon dengan berkata ibunya begitu suka kepada Peter. Aaron akan memerankan karakter yang menderita tumor otak. Agar bisa menjiwai peran tersebut yang sering mengalami sakit kepala, Aaron mengobservasi rekannya, Wu Zun. Rupanya Wu Zun suka sakit kepala dan ekspresinya pada sakit itulah itulah yang diobservasi Aaron.

Fahrenheit

Fahrenheit (Chinese: 飛輪海; pinyin: Fēilúnhǎi) is a Chinese boy band who has been active inAsia since 2005. The group debut with four members: Jiro Wang, Calvin Chen, Aaron Yan andWu Chun. They are managed by Comic International Productions (可米國際影視事業股份有限公司). The group's music is distributed by HIM International Music in Taiwan, by WOW Music in Hong Kong and by Pony Canyon in Japan. Fahrenheit are often associated with their seniors,S.H.E, who are also under HIM International Music.

HIM announced in an official statement on 22 June 2011 that Wu has left the group and it will continue as a trio with Jiro Wang, Calvin Chen, Aaron Yan. Even so, Wu has stated on his official blog that he considers Fahrenheit an important part of his life and only decided to leave so that he will have more time with his family, and that he will try his best to be able to work with Fahrenheit's other three members in the future. Fahrenheit's three other members Jiro, Calvin and Aaron have also stated on multiple occasions that they still consider Wu Chun a part of Fahrenheit.

Background

Fahrenheit first gained minor recognition around late 2005 when their first altogether series, KO One, was broadcast on television in Taiwan. Wu Chun joined the group later in late 2005. On December 28, 2005, Fahrenheit officially became a vocal quartet boy band.

Derived from the definition of Fahrenheit, each of the four members represents a season or temperature that corresponds with their different personalities. Calvin Chen represents spring, warm; Jiro Wang represents summer, hot; Wu Chun represents autumn, cool; and lastly, Aaron Yan represents winter, cold. Each of the four members also has his respective temperature represented on the Fahrenheit scale: Calvin Chen is at 77 degrees, Jiro Wang is at 95 degrees, Wu Chun is at 59 degrees, and Aaron Yan is at 41 degrees. Each of their temperatures are separated by 18 degrees.

Jiro Wang

In 2000, Jiro Wang started to work after graduating from Taiwan's Fu-Shin community college, and did part-time jobs wherever he could, such as commercial modeling. BMG, the label that signed him, planned to package him with Jay Chou and Jordan Chan to form a boy band called 3J, but because of 9/11, BMG's stocks crashed and the 3J plan was scrapped. He later joined the army for 2 years, and came back around 2003. Since he was still popular around Taiwan, he was given two roles as a guest-star in Pawnshop No.8 (第8號當舖) and I Love My Wife (安室愛美惠). Then Comic Productions approached him, and gave him the supporting role of Ah Jin (金元豐) in 'It Started with A Kiss'. Jiro was the first person to be contracted. Calvin, Aaron, and later Wu Zun joined him and formed Fahrenheit.

Aaron Yan

Aaron Yan was born in Taiwan, but moved to Connecticut at a young age. He later returned to Taiwan for high school and college. He attended the Chinese Culture University, majoring in Journalism but later switched universities and majors in his third year. He is currently on a study hiatus due to work commitments. Around early 2005, Comic producers had been searching for elite bloggers around the web. They discovered Yan, who, at that time, was really popular online, and thus recommended him to audition for a role in a drama. Yan thought it was a fraud at first, but after several tests, he realized that it was true. He was given a small role in I Love My Wife (安室愛美惠).

Calvin Chen

After Calvin Chen graduated from one of the top high schools in Taiwan, he further pursued his college education in Canada, where he completed his Masters degree in Economics at University of Victoria. He entered a pageant-like competition called Sunshine Boyz in Vancouver and won first place with a free ticket to Taiwan and a contract with a music company. Calvin Chen comes from a very traditional family, where his father, at first, disapproved of his career as an idol. It is rumored that Calvin Chen was going to be on "Guess Guess Guess" in 2001, because of getting first place in a singing competition, however, he had to return to Canada and therefore, did not attend the show. After returning to Taiwan, Calvin Chen further pursued his education at a Taiwanese university.

Biography

Currently the youngest member of the popular Taiwanese boyband Fahrenheit, Aaron Yan was born on November 20, 1986. At young age, his family moved to New York, USA, where he stayed for his primary education for about five years. He then moved back to Taiwan for secondary education. He can speak and understand Mandarin, English, Hokkien, and limited Japanese, and Cantonese.
Aaron is the second and youngest member to join Fahrenheit. He is the tenor vocalist of the group. His publicized temperature is that of cold Winter, at 41 degrees. He also represents "Charming".
